- Turn your computer and modem off.
- Search the Ethernet cable that connects your modem to your computer. Disconnect it from your system.
- Take the disconnected end and plug it into the Ethernet port on the router backside.
- Connect the Ethernet cable that provides the router into the LAN 1 port on the router backside.
- Attach its other end into the respected port on the system’s backside, this is the same port you disconnect the cable from in Step 2.
- Connect the modem to the power and turn it on. Wait for at least two minutes.
- Connect the router and wait for two minutes.
- Turn the system on and check the lights on the router front-side. The entire lights should be lit. In case, if the third light is blinking or not lit, confirm the connection from the router to the modem, ensuring it is safe and the modem is turned on.
- Browse the internet and enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
- A login window will appear and ask for a username and password.
- Here you need to enter the default router’s settings, type ‘admin’ for username and ‘password’ for the password.
- When the router is connected, a setup wizard will appear. Now, you can complete the final process of configuring your router.
